Man cuts woman and steals purse

Columbia Falls Police Department officers responded to Nucleus Avenue after a man robbed a woman, cutting her in the process. The robber, described as a skinny 20-something man with a scruffy beard wearing a black hoodie, told the woman he would cut her if she didn’t let go of her purse, then cut her hand, took the purse and ran off, assaulting another man before escaping.


A Whitefish Police Department officer responded to a Central Avenue coffee shop after a man was reported harassing people, pushing them around while he was outside smoking a cigarette.

A representative from a Baker Avenue business reported a former employee had been forging prescriptions for several months.

A protective boyfriend reported his concern that his girlfriend was being overserved at a U.S. 93 South casino.

All four tires of a vehicle on East Second Street were slashed. The vehicle belonged to a bouncer at a nearby bar.
