Donna Maxine Darling, 80

Donna Maxine Darling, 80, “went home to be with the Lord” on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

She was born on Dec. 20, 1933, in Kalispell to August Henry and Ethel (Claridge) Grosswiler.

 Donna grew up in the Flathead and graduated from Flathead County High School. She became a hairdresser and later a Montessori school teacher.

 Donna was preceded in death by her husband, John Darling; and a son, Patrick Duffy.

She is survived by three sons, Mitch Duffy, Sam Darling, and John and Candi Darling; grandchildren, Mitchell, Savanna, Makenna and Johnathan; daughter-in-law, Robin Duffy, and her children, Mindy, Robert and Ashley and Robin’s grandchildren; also her extended family, Kathy Backus, Donna Duffy, Kevin Andrews, Shirley and Pat Lukenbill and their children, Holli, Joslyn and Isaac, and Holli’s children, Halea, Autumn and Drake; Rhonda Ackley and her daughters, Danie and Alex; and Violet Henderson and her family.

 Graveside services for Donna will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery on Whitefish Stage Road with Pastor Mark Cutler officiating.
