Bigfork girls second at divisional tennis
RONAN — Bigfork captured the girls Western B-C divisional tennis title on Saturday.
The Valkyries easily claimed the title with a 58- point total. St. Ignatius was second, 38.
Bigfork’s Lana Berg finished second in singles.
Bigfork placed two doubles teams. Alanis Stallknecht and Brook Bonner finished second while Kayla Casalegno and Alauna Weilacher were third.
Eureka’s Kathryn Stein finished third in singles.
Eureka was last in the five-team field with 13 points.
The top four singles and doubles teams from divisional advance to state, which begins Friday in Missoula. The finals will be held Saturday.
The boys, who do not hold a divisional tournament, automatically advance to the state tournament.
