AA State Tennis: Tough go for Glacier, Flathead
BOZEMAN — It was a rough start for Glacier and Flathead at the Class AA state tennis tournament on Friday.
Glacier’s Hunter Blalack won his first-round singles match, but lost in the quarterfinals.
Flathead’s Glenn Stickler dropped his opening-round match.
In doubles play, Glacier’s Spencer Johnson and Greg Jones won their opener, but lost in the quarterfinals while Kyler Harkins and Sam Stern lost their first-round outing.
Glacier’s two doubles teams — Kayla Harwood and Kali Mathison and Maya Buckingham and Berta Jover-Llorens — lost in the opening round.
Bozeman’s boys and girls lead the team races.
Tennis action wraps up today. Semifinal actions starts at 8 a.m. with the finals at 1 p.m.
