Clayton 'Doc' Dahlquist, 70

Clayton “Doc” Dahlquist, 70, of Ferndale passed away peacefully of natural causes in his home on May 15, 2014.

Doc was born in Helena on Sept. 10, 1952, to Edith and Lawrence Dahlquist.

Doc never let anything slow him down and thoroughly enjoyed living. He was full of life, laughter and was always ready to share stories of his extraordinary adventures. He had many passions in life like fishing, flying, boating and spending time with those dear to him. Doc loved and cherished his two cats, Spriter and Guy-guy. He was a beloved member of the community and will be greatly missed by many.

Doc is survived by his three sons, Kris Dahlquist of Missoula, Terry Dahlquist of Portland, and David Dahlquist of Clinton; grandchildren, Jessilynn, D.J, Keigan and Xavier of Missoula; his longtime friend, Caroline Crawford, and her daughters, Cathy, Crissy and Traci; and many close friends.  

He was predeceased by his father, Lawrence and mother, Edith.  

Doc’s request was to be cremated and his remains to be scattered at the homestead in Cut Bank where he spent his childhood years.  

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. on May 28 at the VFW, 7950 Montana 35 in Bigfork.
