Party of Lincoln now the party of slavery?

As I read the letters of the opinion page, I know I made the right decision to leave the so-called Republican Party.  

Let’s be honest. The party is now solidly the Old South; dedicated to slavery. The word conservative today means cheap. And the party should be called the Confederate Party. They work tirelessly to kill any  chance of the working people getting a level field of competition. They are good at supporting war as a means of boosting the economy for the 1 percent.

Why do we need  a Federal Reserve when they only lend money for free to the Wall Streeters? This institution has never been audited, and keep in mind it is a private bank with no oversight for the taxpayers who supply the money. We the real Americans have been had.
