Lee Heath, 89

| October 4, 2014 1:00 PM

Lee Heath “passed through the gates of Heaven” on Sept. 25, 2014.

He loved the Lord and he loved life. He loved everyone he met and they loved him. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and music. He played guitar and sang in many of the clubs, churches, nursing homes and senior centers in the Flathead Valley from 1968 to 2014. He wrote many poems and songs.

As a lad he lived on a ranch in Texas and hoboed back and forth from Texas to Tennessee. He had a hard life as a child; times were bad. He had great stories to tell.

Lee served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, fighting in the Pacific, and also served in the Army Air Force till 1952.

He was a jack-of-all-trades and spent most of the years as an electrician in aircraft, missiles and Anaconda Aluminum.

Lee is survived by Loretta, his wife of 59 years; and five children, Pat, Marilyn, Carol, Chuck and Charlotte; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer; and many other family members and friends.

Lee was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Anne; father, Charles; brothers, Carl, Charles and Jay; and many other loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, at Easthaven Baptist Church, 2010 Whitefish Stage Road, in Kalispell. A potluck reception will follow; bring a dish, and everyone is welcome.
