Woman plants herself in alleyway

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of a black bear on East Seventh Street on Friday afternoon. The caller was concerned that school was getting out soon, but an officer had been around the area and said it looked pretty bear-free. 

A concerned citizen saw a woman with a walker that was lying in a planter in an alleyway near Central Avenue. 

Two intoxicated men refused to leave a Central Avenue bar early Saturday morning, and then began fighting in the street after they left. 

A Columbia Falls man arrived home Friday night to find that his window screens had been removed and some of his things were outside, broken. He believed the culprit was his ex-girlfriend, according to the Columbia Falls Police Department. 

A woman on Seventh Street West received a scare after 1 a.m. Saturday when a man with a baseball bat was knocking on her door. When she didn’t answer, the man left, leaving the baseball bat behind. It turned out to be a friend of a friend. 

A landlord called from Fourth Avenue West saying he believed his renter broke into his garage. 

Kalispell Police Department received a report of possible “drugs and prostitution” possibly going on at a U.S. 93 South hotel on Friday night. 

Police were called to a mixed martial arts event on North Meridian Road after an intoxicated man started fighting with security there Friday night. 

An intoxicated man was arrested Friday night at a Crestline Avenue medical facility after he told nurses there that he was “looking for babies” and was acting very strangely, wandering around and laughing. 

A woman left the mixed martial arts event at the fairgrounds and stopped to let someone cross the road on U.S. 2 West on Friday night. She was almost rear-ended by a vehicle, which proceeded to follow her to a nearby bar. Two men got out of the vehicle and started pounding on her car, leaving significant damage to the vehicle. 

Someone egged the window of a Fifth Avenue East apartment around 1 a.m. Saturday. 

A man was seen passed out in his vehicle on East Idaho Street.
