Veronica Joann 'Jody' (Rowe) DeVera Bury, 57

| October 30, 2014 3:28 PM

Veronica was the youngest of six, born April 25, 1957, to Alvin "Bud" and Veronica Rowe in Billings.

She passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, in Kalispell.

Jody spent her early years traveling around Montana as the family followed Bud's job as a heavy equipment operator building highways, living in Custer, Roundup, Augusta, Great Falls, Ovando, Reed Point, Avon, Wisdom and Lincoln before settling in Columbia Falls.

The traveling bug kept her wandering in her adult life, taking her to Shelby, Missoula and Stevensville before settling in Kalispell to be near her sons and grandchildren.

Jody worked her whole life in retail and food service. She was a tireless worker, always counted on by co-workers.

Jody had a love of life and was always quick to smile and offer a helping hand to those who needed it. Her love of family was multiplied with the arrival of each of her grandchildren. She enjoyed having her granddaughters for sleepovers, and the time spent with each grandchild was precious to her.

Jody was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Carol Hagen.

Jody is survived by her sons, John L. DeVera and Danielle, and their children Kyann and Prestin, and James DeVera and his children Rilee and Ryder, all of Kalispell. Jody is also survived by brothers, Jim Rowe of Great Falls, and Sam Rowe and Phyllis; and sisters, Susan Conklin and Kim, and Mary Levitt and Lon, all of Kalispell. Jody is also survived by her partner, Terry Hopkins.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at the Fairview chapel on Middle Road, with interment immediately following at the Fairview Cemetery.
