Woman walks out on $10.50 bill
Whitefish Police were called when a woman walked out of a Whitefish restaurant on Central Avenue without paying her $10.50 bill. The woman had told an employee that the food was too spicy, and that she would pay for some of the bill but not all of it, then proceeded to walk out without paying anything.
Someone threw a handgun out of a moving car window Friday afternoon near Whitefish. The vehicle behind it stopped and picked up the gun and turned it in to police.
A group of juveniles were seen trying to break into a Copperwood Court house Friday evening, and took off running when the caller caught them.
Columbia Falls Police were called when a woman was caught stealing at a Ninth Street West business Friday morning. The woman had also tried to return merchandise not sold at the store.
An elderly woman sold a clarinet to a neighbor who wasn’t paying her for it on 12th Avenue West.
Someone reported a Kalispell school bus for reckless driving on Friday afternoon. The caller said that the speed of the bus was “very erratic” and said it had crossed the center line several times. Police checked on the bus, and everything seemed fine.
A man called police from his home on First Avenue West because items from his yard were thrown in front of a nearby bank. It appeared to be wind-related, but the man was having trouble understanding the idea, according to dispatch.
