Reports: Beer can, but driver can't
The Kalispell Police Department arrested a woman for a DUI on U.S. 2 West. She was reportedly slamming on her brakes and messing with another driver. That may have had a variety of causes, but there was another clue in the arrest: The woman reportedly had a beer in her hand.
The sound of a dog barking was ongoing for hours on 11th Street West, according to a caller. When police arrived, the sound had mysteriously stopped.
A dispute ensued after a White Rabbit Lane resident installed speed bumps in front of his property. An aggravated neighbor told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that the bumps were large enough to scrape the bottom of vehicles.
Three cows were running freely on Creston Road.
There was a report of disturbing the peace on Skookum Road. The allegation was that someone was revving and engine and “doing stuff” in the garage.
The system works when a taxi driver is paid for giving a ride home. That system broke down when an apparently drunk man left the taxi without fulfilling his part. The Columbia Falls Police Department stepped in to remedy the situation.
