Softball: Polson doubles up at Belgrade tourney
BELGRADE — The Polson Lady Pirates were a force to be reckoned on the first day of the Belgrade Softball tournament on Friday.
The Lady Pirates won their first two games by a combined 35-2.
Polson opened up the successful day with a shut out of Shelby, drubbing the Coyotes 18-0.
Missoula Loyola took on the Lady Pirates in Game 2, but didn’t fare much better. Polson won 17-2.
The monumental day places Polson in the semifinals against Conrad at 10:15 a.m.
The Cowgirls took down Fergus, 9-1, before beating Shepard, 11-0.
Host Belgrade will take on Havre in the other semifinal contest.
