'Dew' the right thing when fire breaks out

A man alerted the Kalispell Police Department that the battery exploded in his truck, causing a fire. He reportedly poured his Mountain Dew on it to extinguish the blaze at Hutton Ranch Road.

A 10-year-old boy was hospitalized after a dog bit him in the face. There were reports of uncontrollable bleeding from a hole in his nose.

Police warned a man to calm down after he was reported to be chasing a duck with a hatchet.

South Main Street was blocked temporarily for a two-car crash. Nobody was reported injured.


 

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who allegedly attacked someone with a knife on First Avenue East North.

A resident of Sunnyside Loop reported that somebody had ripped out  a fence and smeared dog poop on houses.

Animal control responded to a report of a deceased terrier floating down a river in a cardboard box. A necropsy showed that the dog was likely hit by a vehicle.

Deputies searched for the suspect in an apparent car theft near Columbia Falls at gunpoint, but were unable to locate the man.


A man reported the theft of sunglasses from a local eatery to the Columbia Falls Police Department.
