Caller starts having contractions

A woman nine months pregnant called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a man outside her apartment knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell. She thought he wanted to talk to her fiancé but had been told not to come around anymore. Midway through the strange visit, the caller started having contractions. She wanted him gone because she thought he was on drugs and she wanted to get to the hospital.

A woman called about a young man stealing her son’s video games on Martha Road. The man allegedly made off down the road carrying large white garbage bags filled with the electronic goodies.

A mother on Eighth Avenue West called the police to report several scary men hanging around outside playing “inappropriate” music and swearing. She was afraid to let her children go out and play.

A woman on Ninth Street West called police in a panic, fearing she had been drugged. Her husband got on the phone and described her symptoms. She had been vomiting and felt very hot. She was transported to the hospital.


The Whitefish Police Department took a call from a dog owner who said she witnessed her dog attacked by three dogs not on leashes on Haugen Heights.

A bartender on Baker Avenue called the police to report a man in his 30s walking down the street with blood streaming down his face. The man refused to talk to him, but the caller supposed it was from a fight which had occurred recently.


The Marion Fire Department received a call about a boating accident at 2:46 p.m.


The Bad Rock Fire Department took a call about a structure fire on MT-206 at 8:56 a.m.


The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on Back Road near mile marker four for driving under the influence.

The Sheriff’s Office made an arrest for disorderly conduct at 8:56 p.m. on Billy Jean Lane.
