Health facility finds mystery container

A manager from a Hospital Way facility called the Whitefish Police Department after discovering several container of an unknown substance that were left at the front door of their lab. They believed the canisters were filled with bodily fluids, but they weren’t sure.

Someone spray-painted graffiti on the east-facing facade of a Baker Avenue business.

Officers were dispatched to break up a Fox Hollow bachelor party.

A Whitefish resident called dispatch about an injured deer that was wrapped in wire. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks attempted to help the animal but said the deer wouldn’t allow anyone to get close.

Police issued a ticket for a vehicle blocking off a parking lot in front of an event.

Two sisters called when the father of one of the women’s children was at their house trying to pick up his son. The woman told police there was a temporary parenting plan in place but police found no plan restricting the father from seeing his son.

Someone called in a Ford Thunderbird driving through the streets with the muffler dragging behind the car and causing sparks.


A man came to the Columbia Falls Police Department hoping to speak about a letter he wanted delivered. No word on whether the officers showed him to the nearest post office.

An officer caught a man driving a vehicle with fictitious license plates.

A man in a long black robe was talking to another man as if he had the other man under his control. A Columbia Falls resident called dispatch to have someone check on the spooky situation.

A Columbia Falls man called police to report his drunken mother was causing problems. The son was concerned because there was a gun upstairs, and he didn’t want things to escalate any further.

A man called to report that he had been punched by his 13-year-old. The man explained that his son had a history of mental issues, and wanted him taken to juvenile detention.

Another man was punched in the face on Mitchell Way.

A Columbia Falls woman reported that her boyfriend had punched her in the face. The man left but the woman wanted him picked up before he returned.

Someone reported a gray Nissan swerving in and out of traffic on Meadow Lake Boulevard.
