Boys soccer: Stillwater soccer starts 2-0

BONNERS FERRY, Idaho — Senior BJ Bach scored two goals and assisted on two more as Stillwater Christian School blanked Bonners Ferry 5-0 on Saturday in boys nonconference soccer play.

Stillwater (2-0 overall) has outscored the opposition thus far 9-0.

Bach has four goals and seven assists in those two games.

“Bach is playing well in the middle of the field for us right now,”Stillwater coach Ryan O’Rourke said. “We started out strong this game. We had lots of shots on goal.”

Stillwater took a quick 2-0 lead on goals by Hansen Eystad and Bach at 4 and 12 minutes, respectively. Bach also scored at 40 minutes.

Isaac Neumann and Jorgen Lindborg completed the scoring with goals in the second half.

“I’m really excited about the defense and our goal keeper (Daniel Fetveit) has played very well the last two games,” O’Rourke said.

Stillwater heads back to Idaho to face Sandpoint on Thursday and Lakeland on Friday.
