FVCC students to present research work

Nearly 50 Flathead Valley Community College students will present their research projects Friday during the college’s Fall Semester FVCC Conference on Student Research.

The event will provide participating students the opportunity to present their research, portfolios and projects to college faculty, staff and students and members of the community.

 Students will deliver 30 oral presentations and 12 research posters will be showcased.

Project topics will range widely in categories such as botany, chemistry, human development, diversity, international pandemics, math, natural resources, biotechnology, sociology and psychology.

The event is open to the public and will take place in the Arts and Technology Building.

The research poster exhibitions will be on display in the foyer from 1 to 2 p.m. Individual student presentations will take place every half hour from 2 to 3:30 p.m. inside the classrooms located on the upper level of the building. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony at 3:45 p.m.
