Men plead not guilty to Bigfork burglary spree

| December 4, 2015 6:00 PM

Four men accused of burglarizing Bigfork and Kalispell businesses and a home in mid-October all pleaded not guilty to two counts each of felony burglary.

Robert Harland Jordan, 18; Deven Michael Broad, 22; Taylor Shane Hill, age unlisted, and William Jared Jones, age unlisted, are accused of taking Jordan’s foster father’s truck from the Creston Business Center on Oct. 26.

After trashing the vehicle, it is believed that the burglars broke into the center by breaking a window.

Burglaries were also reported at a Kalispell auto repair business and a home near Egan Slough. Items taken included a laptop computer, coffee maker, chain saw with a loose chain, keys to numerous vehicles, PlayStation 4 and nail gun.

Jordan and Jones were allegedly caught trying to pawn some of the items. They said Broad and Hill were involved. Broad and Hill admitted to their part in the crimes and allegedly led officers to Broad’s home where most of the stolen property was recovered.

In addition to the burglary charges, Jordan also has pleaded not guilty to a felony theft charge that resulted after Jordan allegedly stole an ATV from Three Mile Drive on Oct. 13.

He will also go before the judge on Jan. 19 for a petition to revoke a five-year suspended sentence handed down on July 30.

In that case Jordan was convicted of criminal endangerment for leading officers on a 90-mph chase after he stole something from a convenience store on West Idaho Street. Spike strips were used to stop Jordan near Airport Road and Rocky Cliff. His blood alcohol concentration was 0.143. The legal limit is .08.

Broad is also facing a petition to revoke a suspended sentence that was imposed when he was a minor for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl in 2011.

Broad is classified as a Level 2 sex offender, which means he is at moderate risk to re-offend.

Broad’s revocation hearing is set for Dec. 10.
