Gov. Bullock to attend ribbon cutting at Lake House health center

| December 5, 2015 6:09 PM

Lake County, in partnership with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Health Services, Providence Health and Services and the Western Montana Mental Health Center  is having a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Lake House at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11. The public is invited and welcome to attend.

Special guest will be Gov. Steve Bullock.

The partners recognized a void in mental health services in Lake County and collaborated to develop a community centered solution. Currently, individuals in need of acute, 24/7 psychiatric care are sent to Missoula, Kalispell or the Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs. Lake House will serve all residents of Lake County and neighboring counties 18 years and older with a local option for crisis stabilization. Lake House will allow individuals to stabilize in their community, within their established care systems and return home with linkage to ongoing supportive services.

The Lake House model has proven highly successful  with similar programs in Ravalli, Silver Bow and Gallatin counties.

Lake House is located at 7 13th Ave. E., directly below Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Polson.
