OPINION: Don't let political correctness shut you up

When are we Americans going to take our country back?

We have stood by and watched our traditions, values and freedoms being taken from us by political correctness and have valued and honored every foreign, legal and illegal cultural practice and religion at the expense of our own.

In 2008, Tyson Foods briefly eliminated Labor Day in favor of a Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr at the request of Muslim union workers. We renamed Easter vacation as spring break and Merry Christmas has been replaced with Happy Holidays. Christmas trees and Nativity scenes are not allowed at schools, church or public grounds as we have practiced for decades. Schools are not allowed to produce Christmas plays or sing Christmas songs. The birthdays of our past presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are no longer recognized.

God has been taken out of our schools. Any Christian religious statue or symbol (Ten Commandments/cross) has been or is in the process of being removed from public places. The military chaplains are no longer allowed to discuss the Bible or pray in the name of Jesus, as it may offend someone, yet we allow Muslims to bring their prayer rugs to the Pentagon and pray to Mecca and bring an imam in on Fridays. Several universities and high schools in the United States allow Muslims to pray at school; however prayer is not allowed for Christians or Jews.

The government removed historical Confederate flags as some are offended, forgetting this is HISTORY. The president signed an executive order to ban Confederate flags and many stores have refused to sell any Confederate memorabilia. American children in many schools are sent home if they wear or display an American flag; however foreign flags can be displayed. There is a Flag Protection Act to respect OUR flag; but in many riots OUR flag is burned or stomped on as “free speech.”

Many states issue driver licenses to illegals and allow them to vote in our elections, when logically only CITIZENS of the United States should vote. In many states the photo ID for Muslim women is taken with their face completely covered except for a slit for their eyes or head scarves... we cannot offend their belief! Lawsuits by CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations) are being implemented in many cases where the photo is required to be taken without a cover-up.

We no longer require assimilation. They speak Spanish, French, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Punjabi, Tagalog, Mandarin, Burmese, German, Japanese, Armenian, Russian, Arabic, Polish, Portuguese, Farsi and Greek. Arabic is the fastest growing language in the United States. Several years ago 149 immigrant languages were spoken, and for 14 million households, English was not the primary language. No one that comes into this country is required to learn the language, yet they benefit with housing, food, health care and education, all at the taxpayers’ expense. We cannot take care of our military or veterans, but we can build a $750,000 soccer field for the 100-plus Muslim detainees at Guantanamo.

The laws of the land are no longer enforced and the sanctuary cities invite illegals and criminals to reside there to be protected from crimes they may commit, paid for by the taxpayer. Our prisons are full of illegal foreigners, and in October the Obama administration announced that pork can no longer be fed to the prisoners. The claim is that prisoners just don’t like pork, and that it has nothing to do with the Muslim ban on pork.

Every day there are crimes committed and people killed by illegals and we are not supposed to say they are illegal, so as not to offend. Why don’t WE as citizens have the right to know who is committing the crimes? Why don’t our churches stand up and fight for freedom of religion and quit caving to POLITICAL CORRECTNESS?

Why don’t WE ask our schools to provide a program that teaches PATRIOTISM and the true history of America, not the re-written versions that have been seeping into the classrooms. Rush Limbaugh has written some very entertaining and historically correct children’s books. Why not teach and practice the “Lessons of Life” to children from kindergarten through 12th grade such as pride, respect and love for our flag and Founding Fathers.

Respect our laws and the police. Tolerance and consideration for others. Be helpful and kind to others. Respect our elders and authority. Follow our rules and laws. Do not take what does not belong to you. (Some of this is covered in the Ten Commandments.)

PARENTS… speak up if you do not like what is being taught, or your child is forced to share the bathroom or locker room with a transgender child. Demand that they listen to you, organize, keep your children out of school. If you want something taught, ask for it. Your children are YOUR CHILDREN, not wards of the state. You can control their environment, what they eat and what they are taught.

Political correctness has reared its head in many schools teaching the unthinkable, and remember, you only have your children for such a short time, so do all you can to guide them in the right direction.

The remaking of America is working toward having more immigrants in the United States than Americans. This has to be stopped.

Socialism’s political correctness is responsible for the demise of America. We need to stand up for law and order and take back our freedoms before they are gone forever.

I ask you: When are we going to take our country back?
