TROY — Class B Troy outscored Stillwater Christian, a member of the Montana Christian Athletic Association, 13-4 in overtime to claim a 57-48 nonconference girls basketball victory Thursday evening.

It was a back-and-forth affair through regulation for the evenly matched squads. Stillwater led 12-11 after the first quarter, but trailed 28-17 at the half.

Stillwater rebounded to trail just 35-34 and the end of three quarters to set up an exciting finish.

Adriana Lambert and Dori Smith led Stillwater (1-2 overall) in scoring with 17 and 15 points, respectively. Smith also pulled down 15 rebounds. Lambert had five treys and went 2 for 4 at the free-throw line.

Allie Coldwell tallied 18 points to pace Troy. Kaitlyn Downey added 13 and Alyssa Lewis 11, six of those coming in overtime.

“Troy is a very solid team,” Stillwater Christian coach Sarah O’Rourke said.

“They have a great inside-out game with strong posts and three-point shooters.

“We made some nice adjustments,” she said.

“We started the game strong, then Troy went on a huge run. We battled back after the half with key scoring from Lambert and huge rebounds and hustle plays from Smith. We had two girls foul out at the end of regulation and just couldn’t battle it out in OT. It was a great game.”
