WRESTLING: Whitefish wins Kinney Invitational

SUPERIOR — Led by individual winner Travis Catina at 205 pounds, Whitefish won the Bob Kinney Invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday.

The Bulldogs, with help from runners-up Dillon Thorsteinson (126) and James Buckley (138), edged Thompson Falls for the title, 141-139. Libby, 80 points, was seventh.

Placing third for Whitefish were Parker McWhirter (113), Triston Knopp (182) and Steven Quimby (heavyweight).

Libby had one individual winner — Buddy Doolin (103). Clancy Gout (205) was second.
