Stephen Victor Hinck, 59

| December 13, 2015 6:00 AM

Stephen Victor Hinck, 59, passed away on Dec. 6, 2015, at home in Polson.

Steve was born March 16, 1956, in Minneapolis to Maurice (Peterson) and Irving Clarence Hinck.

Steve was the grandson of world famous aviator Clarence W. Hinck, inventor of the Hinck Flying Circus. Aviation was in the blood of all male Hincks.

Steve had many careers during his lifetime and many challenges along the way, but give Steve a big cigar, a glass of scotch and let his 22-year-old dog Elvis come along, Steve could not be happier.

Steve was preceded in death by all in his family — his father Irving C. Hinck, his mother Maurice (Peterson) Hinck, his brother William Hinck, his brother Peter R. Hinck, and his brother Charles C. Hinck.

Next spring a celebration of Steve’s life will be celebrated in Polson, with a sprinkling of his ashes on a private island on Flathead Lake.

Special thanks go out to all his friends, especially Curtis Ward, his hospice caregiver, Dr. John Williams, and the staff at Home Options. If one would like to make a donation, please do so to the charity of one’s choice or the American Cancer Society. The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting with arrangements.
