Three valley teams finish on top in Polson

Bigfork, Glacier and Whitefish high school teams won sweepstakes titles Saturday in Polson at the Piratepalooza Speech, Debate and Drama Meet.

Bigfork topped Class B/C Drama and placed third in Class B/C Speech sweepstakes.

Whitefish was first in Class A speech competition while the Glacier junior varsity not only won the Class AA category but also won the overall team sweepstakes.

Final point totals were Glacier 165, Loyola 115 and Whitefish 85 for the overall sweepstakes in Polson.

Columbia Falls placed second in Class AA speech in Polson while the Wildcat debaters traveled to Billings Central where they placed third.
