A Columbia Falls woman on Thursday denied driving drunk with a 5-year-old child in her car.

Kelsie Lynn Vulgamore, 26, pleaded not guilty to felony criminal endangerment and misdemeanor reckless driving in Flathead District Court.

According to court documents, Vulgamore allegedly drove drunk and caused a crash with a 5-year-old child in her car on Nov. 24.

Vulgamore told a Montana Highway Patrol trooper she did not see another vehicle as she made a turn near the intersection of U.S. 2 and River Road.

Vulgamore’s vehicle crashed into another vehicle.

She allegedly smelled of alcohol and performed very poorly in field sobriety tests. A breath sample provided at the scene indicated her blood alcohol concentration was .316, nearly four times the legal limit of .08.

She faces up to 10 years in prison and a $50,000 fine if convicted.
