LETTER: Islamophobia: distraction from the real enemy

| December 17, 2015 11:00 AM

On Dec. 4, I listened to a visiting Christian preacher whose project is to “eradicate politically correct rhetoric about Islam… to show the savagery of this ideology…” The Quran passages inciting violence are not difficult to find. No doubt, those words can be used to incite those radicalized… The problem is, the focus on Islam distracts from our own government’s involvement in the development and support of jihad and the consequent refugee crisis.

This preacher revealed a logical disconnect when he slammed Islam and at the same time acknowledged U.S. promotion of terrorism. He called ISIS a front group, a “scam” that the U.S. is not fighting but is promoting and there are many levels of evidence that that is true.

This pastor mentioned U.S. responsibility for ousting the shah of Iran, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, Muammar Gadafi of Libya and other secular, tolerant (moderate Muslims at most; Saddam Hussein and Syrian President Assad in the same category) Middle East leaders who were replaced by radicalized Muslims. The U.S. involvement with the rise and fall of moderate Middle East leaders has occurred under Republican and Democrat leadership. Congress in bipartisan fashion, responsible for our open southern border, is inviting terrorism and all manner of invasion.

What is the effect of focusing on Islam and portraying terrorism as an evil outside force? People who are afraid will accept U.S. government oppression and enslavement in the guise of protection and security. The tyrants cause the problem then “save” us from the problem they caused.

Why would our own government officials of both parties work so hard to destabilize this country, destroying its economy and sovereignty? All the craziness, anomalies, dissonance make “sense” in the context of the satanic conspiracy well summarized in a sermon with that title by Pastor Chuck Baldwin (libertyfellowshipmt.com video messages) and online at Youtube in “Christ Alone” by Jason Paul Charles.

If we continue to be distracted, lacking understanding of Satan’s global plan for destruction, we will remain ignorant, enslaved and will lose this spiritual war against our true enemy. —Annie Bukacek, Bigfork
