Wendell E. Johnson, 69

Wendell E. Johnson, 69, of Whitefish, passed away from a recent stroke Jan. 29, 2015, at North Valley Hospital. 

He is survived locally by his aunt, Vergene Johnson; cousins and spouses, Dave and Linda Smith, and Gordon and Kay Johnson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Wendell was born Aug. 11, 1945, to Wendell and Elaine Johnson. 

His parents and Cal Thurston, stepfather, preceded him in death. 

He worked as a retail clerk in grocery stores in Missoula and Three Forks before moving to Kalispell and Whitefish, upon retirement. 

A graveside service will be held for Wendell at 3 p.m. on Feb. 12 at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. 

Dave and Linda would like to say thank you to everyone who helped Wendell these last few years.
