Eugenia F. Morrison, 85
Eugenia F. Morrison, 85, of Bigfork, died Feb. 2, 2015, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
Jeannie grew up in New Ulm, Minnesota, and graduated with a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. She taught music in Duluth, Minnesota, and Dixon, Montana. She played professionally for the Minnesota Orchestra in Minneapolis. Her life was one that revolved greatly around her music and sharing her talent with many others.
She eventually moved to Montana where she met and married her husband of 53 years. They spent 13 years living on a ranch near Arlee before moving to Bigfork in 1973, when Jeannie and Hash took over full-time caretaker duties at Big Sky Bible Camp where Hash still resides.
Jeannie spent many years visiting and playing guitar for residents at Lakeview Care Center. She was well known for her hand puppets and for children's Bible clubs. She leaves behind a long legacy of sharing and passing on her many and varied talents.
She is survived by her husband, Hash; and sons, John and Shelley of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Bill of Cut Bank. Grandchildren include Christopher, Matthew and Scott.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Bigfork.
