ANAHEIM, Calif. — A perfect weekend led to another Professional Bull Riders circuit win for Matt Triplett at the Honda Center.

The Columbia Falls cowboy posted four scores on four rides to win the Built Ford Tough Series Anaheim Invitational.

Only two riders turned in four scores.

He won the championship round with an 89-point ride on Mr. Bull on Sunday. Triplett scored 90.5 on that bull last year at a PBR event in Billings.

Earlier in the day in round 3, he was second with 85.5 points on Super Cella.

On Saturday in round 2, he was second with an 87 on El Capitan.

And he tied for sixth in the first round on Friday with an 85.5 on Hawaiian Hurricane.

He finished with 615 points in Anaheim and now holds a lead of 780 points on Silvano Alves of Pilar Do Sul, Brazil, in the world standings.

Alves is the defending world champion.

Triplett has 2,020 points and $125,226 in earnings.

Alves is at 1,240 points and $96,807.89.

Reese Cates from El Durado, Arkansas, is third with 1,800 points and $80,323.38.

Triplett’s hot streak continues as he has been bucked off just twice in his last 13 rides.

Triplett earned his first BFTS win in Oklahoma City on Jan. 25.

The next stop on the circuit is the Bass Pro Chute Out in St. Louis. That starts Friday and ends Saturday.

The Caterpillar Classic in Kansas City, Missouri, follows on Feb. 21-22.
