Trotting turkey targets Kalispell cars
A call to the Kalispell Police Department reported that a tom turkey was chasing cars along Eighth Avenue West. The turkey was advised to move along.
Two women were reportedly putting vitamins and instant coffee in their purses in a store on Third Avenue East North.
A bartender called to report an “elderly female with a walker” was refusing to leave his bar after closing time. The woman fell off her barstool but appeared unharmed. The bartender requested assistance removing her.
Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate a green dirt bike that was “popping wheelies” in traffic on Third Street East in Kalispell.
Two “wild dogs” — a yellow lab and chow mix — were reported “eating on a carcass” near Foothill Road.
Cars were required to stop along Mountain Drive in Hungry Horse to avoid a man and woman arguing in the middle of the road.
A caller reported that a neighbor’s fence blew over “a few inches into his yard” and he wanted an officer to come look at it and speak to the neighbor. Dispatch advised the man this was a civil matter and the man hung up.
A man reported that someone stole $9,600 out of his bank account, but when he called the bank, there was no record of that amount being deposited to his account.
Officers were unable to locate a suspicious-looking man wearing a black face mask on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell.
A woman entered a store on Ninth Street West in Columbia Falls, and gave an envelope to the clerk to give to the Columbia Falls Police Department. The woman said she was being stalked and wanted the police department to know. She then asked for a bag from the store to make it look as if she purchased something, then left. The envelope contained an SD card that was turned over to law enforcement agents.
