Caller reports pistol problems
The Whitefish Police Department responded to a Flathead Avenue woman who reported another woman would “take a pistol to her head.” The caller didn’t have a permanent address and was calling from a friend’s place.
A business owner on East First Street called the police after a group of men were reportedly violently shaking the doors of his business trying to get in. She suspected they had been drinking.
The Columbia Falls Police Department was called to help resolve a civil complaint between a landlord and a renter. A person was cited for lack of insurance.
A Fifth Avenue West man set off his burglar alarm, prompting a police response, when he couldn’t remember the code to deactivate the alarm.
An employee on 13th Street West called the police about some trespassing teenagers riding bikes. The business had been vandalized earlier and they were extra touchy about people coming to the business after dark. The young men on bikes were told to leave by police officers.
A Clayton Lane resident called police after hearing what he thought were shots. He said there was a nearby party and it may have been fireworks, but thought it should be checked out either way. An officer didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a person for criminal contempt after a traffic stop at a gas station at 12:28 a.m.
An arrest was made on Carbine Road after a driver was caught possessing false identification at 3:20 a.m.
Another arrest by Lake County was made on North Reservoir Road for obstructing a peace officer at 10 p.m.
The Polson Police Department made an arrest for driving under the influence in the parking lot of a bar at 1:23 a.m.
They made another Polson arrest at a supermarket for criminal contempt at 2:45 a.m.
