Dog's defecation causes concern
The Whitefish Police Department received a call from an upset Kalispell Avenue man who reported his neighbor’s dog would walk over to his lawn and defecate. The caller said the neighbor would watch it happen and not pick up the excrement. He said he was about to get a gun and shoot both the neighbor and the dog, but then clarified that it would “just be a BB gun.” The man then had to make clear he did not own any firearms and would not shoot the dog.
A Colorado Avenue parent called the authorities to report their son had run away for the third time that day. She said she was unsure if her son was doing drugs and alcohol, but did concede he had a lot of enemies and got into a lot of fights.
A Columbia Avenue resident called the police to report a loud noise which sounded like a car crash or a transformer explosion. When officers arrived and talked to a pedestrian, he commented it might have been the train cars bumping together, but no other loud noises were heard.
A couple on East Eighth Street were allegedly having a loud, violent fight. A caller reported hearing furniture being thrown around, screaming and the woman crying.
The Columbia Falls Police Department was called when an employee at a business on 12th Avenue West noticed that a newer model black pickup in the parking lot had four flat tires. The employee was unsure if the truck’s tires had been slashed but thought it was worth mentioning.
A Second Avenue West resident called police after her son reported someone broke into their house. She was in Kalispell when she got a call from her 16-year-old son telling her someone allegedly walked into their residence. The son walked downstairs, because apparently he has never seen a horror movie before, and the intruder reportedly fled and jumped into a moving vehicle.
The Kalispell Fire Department was called to a hazardous materials spill on School Addition Road in Somers at 7:43 a.m. on Saturday.
