Couple debates over love and taxes

A man called the Kalispell Police Department to report that his ex-wife was demanding half of last year’s tax return. The man stated that the woman left him for another man and he requested extra patrols in case she came around.

Four young people reportedly stole a 12-pack of Miller Lite from an Idaho Street store and left on foot. Police apprehended two of them.


Reports of a sinkhole on U.S. 2 came into the Columbia Falls Police Department Wednesday evening. Crews were able to fill it Thursday morning after it blocked one lane of traffic the previous night.


A Poplar Drive resident told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that someone parked a car on the caller’s lawn. The caller was concerned that it might affect his septic system. 


The Whitefish Police Department was called out for extra patrols on Park Avenue after a woman found another woman in her kitchen. According to the report, the resident came home to find a woman she’d never met, who claimed to be looking for someone else. The intruder reportedly left without incident.
