Glacier's Gibson, Decker 3rd at wrestling tourney

SPOKANE, Wash. — Glacier had two wrestlers finish third and two place sixth at the Pacific Northwest Classic on Saturday at University High School.

Justin Gibson was the consolation champion at 106.

Cody Decker also wound up third, but at 138.

Both wrestlers were 4-1 in the two-day event.

Placing sixth were Ryder Day at 120 and Isaac Sanez at 170.

Glacier had nine wrestlers competing.

“We wrestled pretty good,” Glacier coach Ross Dankers said.

“It’s a fun tournament ... a lot of solid teams.”

There were 16 wrestlers in each weight division.

Glacier stays home this week with Western AA duals on Thursday versus Missoula Hellgate and Missoula Big Sky starting at 5 p.m. Glacier entertains Libby on Friday at 7 p.m.
