Eugene 'Gene' R. Clark, 76

Eugene “Gene” R. Clark, 76, of Arlington, Washington, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014. 

Gene was the only child of Joseph C. and Florence (Valentine) Clark of Kalispell. Gene was born on July 5, 1938. Gene graduated from Flathead County High School in 1956; he also attended one year of college in Havre. He was a member of the FFA in High School and later part of the Columbia Falls Jaycees. Gene was part of the Montana National Guard. 

He married Norma Jean Brunner Sept. 2, 1960. 

Gene worked at Plum Creek Lumber, as a small business owner of various establishments such as Alpen Slices Delicatessen and Spanky’s Ice Cream Parlor, and as a Columbia Falls School District bus driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending car shows and gold panning.

Gene is survived by his wife, Norma J. Clark of Arlington; daughter, Tammy (Clark) and son-in-law, Darrell Burton, of Marysville, Washington; son, Ray Clark of Arlington; and granddaughters, Melissa and Jamie Burton. 

He was preceded in death by both parents.

He was an outgoing individual who loved his family and close friends.
