He got to work, but he shouldn't have

| January 10, 2015 9:50 PM

A Kalispell business called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning when a temporary employee showed up to work drunk just after 8 a.m. The man had driven across town in that condition to get to work, according to the caller.

Police responded to a seven-person bar fight Friday evening in Bigfork.

A report came in from Marion about people firing a “high-powered hand gun” Friday afternoon. Police made contact with a couple of juveniles and told the caller to call the sheriff’s office back if problems persisted.

Perhaps people had a little cabin fever after being snowed in earlier in the week that drove them a little wild on Friday night when bar fights seemed to be the theme. Besides the Bigfork bar fight, the following fights were reported Friday night or early Saturday:

— A report came in to Columbia Falls Police that 16 people were fighting in front of a Nucleus Avenue bar. The group had dispersed before police arrived.

— Four people were seen fighting outside of a Central Avenue bar around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Whitefish Police.

— Another group were seen brawling on Central Avenue around 2:15 a.m. Saturday.
