Raymond Herbert Knotts Jr., 67

Raymond Herbert Knotts Jr. died on Jan. 17, 2015.

He was born Feb. 13, 1947, the son of Raymond Herbert Knotts Sr. and Norma Louise (Long) Knotts (both now deceased).

 He was a graduate of Fort Ashby High School, Class of 1965. After serving with the Army in Vietnam, his construction career lead him to Colorado, Oklahoma, Wyoming and later, North Carolina.

He retired to Kalispell to live his new dream of developing the Montana Mountain Horse. He was passionate about the outdoors and was a member of the Back Country Horsemen. He relished time with his grandkids Addy and Nathaniel.

 Ray is survived by his wife, Carol, of 46 years; his sons, Matt of Cincinnati, Ohio, Clint and wife Carrie of Charleston, South Carolina, and Benjamin of Kalispell; brothers, Rodney and wife Sharon, Barry and wife Gail, and Jeffrey, and sister, Lisa and husband Leo Day, all of Short Gap, West Virginia; also, sunshine and firecracker grandkids, Addy and Nathaniel.

 Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Whitefish Baptist Church, 6232 U.S. Hwy. 93 South, Whitefish; and at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Rte. 956, Short Gap, W.Va.
