Glacier High School’s Mark Dennehy has been selected Class AA’s Activities Director of Year for the 2014-15 school year by the Montana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

The announcement came Sunday evening in Kalispell as part of the annual Montana High School Association administrators meeting.

Presenting the award were Scott Wilson along with Callie Langohr.

Wilson, the activities director at Polson High School, is the new president of the MIAAA.

Langohr is a longtime principal at Glacier High School.

“Miss Langohr was amazing, too kind,” Dennehy said of her speech honoring him.

“We’re very fortunate here with how our system is set up for success. Our district supports (all activities) from the central administration to the (school) board. Then there is Callie and her amazing support along with (assistant principals) Micah Hill and Lance Labrum. Those two do a ton of work as well with activities.”

Dennehy credits the dedication of the Glacier coaching staff for the school’s success in athletics and all activities.

Dennehy said his wife Kim has also been very supportive of his demanding schedule.

This marks the second time he has been honored by the MIAA. Dennehy won the same award in 2005-06 when he was the activities director at Flathead.

Flathead High School activities director Bryce Wilson won this award for 2011-12.
