School contracts renewed

Kalispell Public Schools trustees approved the renewal of contracts for district employees ranging from superintendent to bus drivers, nurses and other non-union staffers.

Contract renewals are done on an annual basis.

The superintendent and directors of Business Services, Special Services, Information Technology and Human Resources will receive 2.25-percent annual pay increases for the 2015-16 school year. Ten bus drivers and four nurses will receive the same increase next school year.

Contracts were also renewed for elementary through high school principals and assistant principals. The board previously approved 2.25-percent increases in addition to placing principals on a salary matrix July 1.

A three-year contract was also reached for approximately 35 custodians and some kitchen employees.

Member of Kalispell Local No. 2795 Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees will receive 2.25 percent increases for the 2015-16 school year, a 2 percent increase for 2016-17 and a cost-of-living adjustment of 1.3 to 3 percent in the third school year.
