Arrest was par for the course

An early morning call to the Whitefish Police Department was about poor golf course etiquette at a facility near U.S. 93. A vehicle was reportedly damaging hole No. 1. A woman sleeping in the vehicle on site was arrested.

A Scott Avenue man was put in custody for alcohol detox after he reportedly threatened a woman.

An officer informed a fireworks stand on U.S. 93 about updated fireworks restrictions (fireworks use is prohibited).

There was a complaint of a boat on Whitefish Lake that was playing music loudly.

An officer approached some youths lighting fireworks near Murray Avenue. One of them took off into the woods.

An elderly and apparently reckless driver was counseled at Baker Avenue.

One Baker Avenue resident wanted an officer to “inform her roommate that he is not allowed to drink himself to death.” The roommate was then described as an “artful dodger.” An officer described him as “extremely intoxicated.”

The ALERT medical helicopter was dispatched to Logan Pass in Glacier National Park to help a man who suffered an apparent seizure.

The Columbia Falls Police Department responded to a report that a woman was urinating in a Nucleus Avenue parking lot.

A scoutmaster let police know that the troop would be shooting off blank rounds in starter pistols, just in case someone was alarmed.
