Cops respond to construction calls
A man repeatedly dialed 911 to complain to the Whitefish Police Department about the construction near East Eighth Street.
About $40 and a phone were stolen from a truck on Lupfer Avenue, according to a report.
Police arrested three people who allegedly broke into a home on Dakota Avenue. The neighbor called in the suspicious intruders.
There were signs of forced entry at a Lower Valley Road home, the resident reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. Burglary was suspected.
A man who was sleeping in a Jeep near U.S. 2 also harassed some late-night fast food workers, according to one report.
Two ex-employees of an area business were suspected of making charges to the business account in Nevada.
A gun was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle on East Cottonwood Drive.
Another gun was reported stolen out of a vehicle on South Cedar Drive.
There was a “transient camp” reported on Fourth Street West near the Foy’s Lake roundabout.
One caller was nervous about some teenagers standing near the edge of a Bigfork-area bridge. The person thought they might try to jump.
There was a report of a stolen truck from Angel Point Road. The truck turned out to be in a nearby barn, and the caller was flagged for active warrants.
A woman told authorities that another woman slapped her in an argument over $20.
The Columbia Falls Police Department arrested a woman on suspicion of drunken driving after she was reported to be yelling and screaming outside of a Ninth Street West business.
Marion Fire Department responded to a report of a large plume of smoke coming from Little Bitterroot Lake. Multiple callers reported the same thing, prompting a helicopter response.
