HS Rodeo Finals: Powell, Gaurdipee lead team roping

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — St. Ignatius cowboy Will Powell placed seventh in his second go at team roping with Cut Bank teammate Caleb Guardipee, the pair timing at 7.45 seconds. They are seventh overall for round two, but lead the average by a large margin with two performances left to compete. Powell and Guardipee have a team average of 13.33 seconds, well ahead of the Wyoming team in second at 15.04.

Kalispell bull rider Tyrell Toren was set to compete Friday night. Official marks weren’t posted at press time.

Polson bull rider Bridger Fitzpatrick is scheduled to ride for his final performance this morning.
