CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Kalispell’s Teigan Avery and Coral Schulz led the Montana team to a 17th place finish with strong final rounds on Thursday at the girls Junior America’s Cup at Cheyenne Country Club.

Southern California’s Clare Legaspi closed with a 3-under-par 69 in the final round to overtake a pair of competitors and win the tournament at 1-under. She finished one stroke ahead of Hawaii’s Malia Nam, after the leader of the first two rounds went 2-over on the final day, and Mexico’s Isabella Fierro, who shot even par.
