Women get lesson on being nice

The Kalispell Police Department was called when two older women reportedly harassed a 17-year-old girl on Hawthorn Way. Police arrived and both parties agreed to “be nice.”

Police were called to a store on Hutton Ranch Road after two female shoplifters allegedly hit an employee with their shopping cart and took off.

A man drinking at a bar on Airport Road was asked to leave after he threatened to beat up his girlfriend. He then reportedly stood outside the bar staring at the bartender and his soon-to-be-ex-girlfriend through the window. Officers picked him up and took him home.

A Fourth Street East woman called police after someone broke into her apartment through a screen door and hit her in the face. The blow knocked her glasses off and she couldn’t see. It also impaired her memory as she could not remember the details of the event.

An Empire Loop woman reported that her boyfriend tried to drown her the night before by pouring vodka down her throat.


The Polson Police Department made an arrest on Seventh Avenue at 12:08 a.m. for possession of dangerous drugs.

An arrest was made at Riverside Park at 12:44 a.m. for driving with a suspended license.

After a suspicious activity call, officers arrested someone at 1:06 a.m. for criminal contempt.

Another arrest was made at a Polson gas station at 1:58 p.m. for driving under the influence.


The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest for partner-family member assault at 9:52 a.m.
