'Baby daddy' drama divides women

A woman called Kalispell Police Department to report that her “baby daddy’s girlfriend” kept following her around for no apparent reason. The woman also said the girlfriend had a history of “knife incidents” in the past, and is out of jail on pre-release for “hiring someone to stab her husband.”

A man reportedly went through the trash inside a post office on North Meridian Road. The garbageman then left the post office and got into a car with another man who “flipped off” nearby patrons. Post office employees believe the man may have physically removed mail from the premise.

A hospital patient called the police department to ask if he had been turned in for barking dogs at his residence. Dispatch informed him there was no report of excessive dog-barking at his home. Apparently, the patient’s neighbor called him to express his or her displeasure about dogs barking while the man was in the hospital, and threatened to call police. The hospital patient said he would be home the next day and hoped that animal control would not take his dog. Dispatch assured him that they would not take the dogs based on one noise complaint.

A mother called to report that her daughter stole her cat and left in the car. Parties were counseled and the cat returned.

A group of kids were reportedly either skateboarding or trying to break in to a home on Third Avenue East. Responding officers found the kids were skateboarding while they waited for parents to pick them up. It is unknown what kind of aggressive skateboarding they were doing that could be confused with breaking into a home.

A female was removed from a motel on East Idaho Street for erratic behavior. She was later seen dumping her belongings in the middle of the road and appeared to have a “mental breakdown.” The person reporting the road blockage said they believed the woman was on drugs.

An expletive was spray painted on a fence near Vans Avenue. Officers from the Columbia Falls Police Department were unable to locate the uninspired vandals.

A caretaker for an apartment complex on 12th Avenue West reported that a note on the door of one of the apartments had been there for a week, and wanted someone to check on the resident. Responding officers found the note was an eviction notice, and the resident had already vacated the premises.

A renter on Riparian Drive reported people cutting across her property to get down to the river. The trespassers were allegedly carrying a hammer and “banging things up down there.” Responding officers helped her to put up a “no trespass” sign.

A  call to the Whitefish Police Department reported a car ran into the pillars in front of a building on Baker Avenue, causing damage.

A male and female were arguing in the lobby of a building on Wisconsin Avenue and causing a stir. The couple were repeatedly asked to calm down  but refused to listen.
