Sally Marie (Snyder) McIlhargey, 70

Sally Marie (Snyder) McIlhargey, 70, passed away March 1, 2015, in Kalispell, of natural causes.

She was born July 15, 1944, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. She graduated from Flathead County High School and Flathead Valley Community College.

Sally married Mell Roy McIlhargey on March 6, 1962. They were married for 37 years until Mell’s passing.

Sally worked as a cook at Husky Truck Stop in Kalispell. She had also worked as a cashier at casinos in Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada. She was retired.

She enjoyed working crosswords and puzzle books.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mell McIlhargey.

Sally is survived by her son, James McIlhargey Sr. of Bowie, Maryland, and his children, James McIlhargey Jr. of Brooklyn, New York, and Michael McIlhargey of Odenton, Maryland; son, Rocky McIlhargey Sr. and wife Rose Nielsen and his children, Ricky McIlhargey Jr., of Texas, Christina McIlhargey of Arkansas, and stepsons Michael Shockley and Jon Nielsen Jr. and stepdaughter Serrena Nielsen; brother, Arvid Snyder Sr. and wife Barbara Snyder of Kalispell and their children, Arvid Jr. of Kalispell, Glenn Snyder and Faye Snyder with children Nick and Amanda of Columbia Falls, and Diane Neva with children Chris, Melisa and Amanda of Columbia Falls; and brother, Richard Snyder of Kalispell and his children Sean Snyder of Ohio and Monica of Kalispell.

Cremation has taken place.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, at St. Matthew’s Church in Kalispell.
