After a reported break-in at an Evergreen residence, a woman told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that she might have been called by a fake news reporter. She said that somebody had called and wanted to know how the property would be secured. The person reportedly claimed to be with a television news company.

A Hungry Horse resident let a friend do laundry at her house, but the friend reportedly turned against her. According to the report, the friend stole the caller’s house keys on the way out.

An officer clocked a Harley-Davidson at more than 100 mph on U.S. 2.

Burglars reportedly made off with a 65-inch television and multiple firearms from a Wiley Dike Road residence.

New tenants in a Collier Lane home called to report that a foul odor made the place unfit for living.

A suspicious person report came in from a Beach Road resident who said there was a “CIA goon” hanging around the house.

An Evergreen resident bought a used item, but the deal seemed almost too good to be true. The buyer called the sheriff’s office to make sure it wasn’t stolen. Deputies couldn’t find anything wrong.

A couple of children found cigarettes and needles in a Columbia Falls outhouse, according to a report. An officer with the Columbia Falls Police Department arrived and confiscated the contraband.

“Two young males” approached a Baker Avenue home, according to a report. The resident flipped on the porch light, and they scampered off. The Whitefish Police Department planned an extra patrol.

An Instagram post revealed that a woman was apparently wearing some of another woman’s jewelry. The theft was reported to the Kalispell Police Department.

Three young males were reported to be walking back and forth and looking through the windows of a closed U.S. 93 restaurant. Perhaps they were just hungry, but police ordered extra patrols.

A “boulder” reportedly joined the evening commute, turning up on U.S. 93 South. Crews responded and removed the rock.
