Class B state basketball: Colstrip girls slide past Bigfork, 55-50

GREAT FALLS — Colstrip did just enough to slip by Bigfork 55-50 on Thursday evening at the Class B girls state basketball tournament at Four Seasons Arena.

The game was close the entire way, with Colstrip up 25-20 at the half. Both teams scored 30 points in the second half.

Miranda Campbell had a super game for Bigfork, scoring 16 points to go with 10 rebounds. Both totals were team highs.

Marissa Hiza added 12 points for the Valkyries.

Kile Denney led Colstrip, and all scorers, with 17 points. Briana Hull was next with 15. Kendal Neumiller added 11.

Both teams had 33 rebounds.

Bigfork drops into loser-out play today at 1:30 p.m. versus Manhattan.

Colstrip advances to semifinal action at 8 p.m. with Choteau.
