While “joyriding” in a Heavens Peak Drive construction site, a driver and occupants got a truck stuck in the mud. That gave the Kalispell Police Department enough time to arrive and speak with them. A friend came to bail out the truck and no citations were reported.

Dispatch returned a 911 hang-up call, and the caller’s explanation was that he was trying to press “611.”

Police assisted in an apparent gun incident on Ridgewood Drive. Witnesses reported that one man pulled a gun on another during an argument. The man took off in a pickup. City, county and state law enforcement helped search for the suspect.

Employees at a Riverside Avenue car wash found a wayward license plate without a vehicle. The Whitefish Police Department searched for the registered owner.

A reported trespasser left a note before leaving a Spokane Avenue property. The property resident told police that officers are “very familiar” with this particular issue.

A man pulled up to an East Lakeshore Drive home, rang the doorbell and took a peek around the back porch, according to a report. The resident reported it to police, who located the suspected snooper. The man turned out to be a process server.

Police were told about “rowdy, drunk people” at a Dakota Avenue hot tub party.

With very little snow left in the area, a noise complaint involving a snowmobile came into the Columbia Falls Police Department. The caller said that it sounded like someone was “revving their snowcat.” Police were unable to locate the source of the noise.

The Kalispell Fire Department put out a fire that reportedly started in a garbage can on Fourth Avenue East. Flames spread to the siding on an adjacent house before it was extinguished.

A white chihuahua that was on the loose near Klondyke Loop was a repeat offender, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

Animal control responded to a complaint of animal cruelty on South Foy’s Lake Drive. The caller said that a neighbor’s horses hadn’t been fed for over a week. Upon speaking with the horses’ owner, animal control found that they had food and water.

A U.S. 2 West resident told the Sheriff’s Office that he shot a dog that kept trespassing on his property. He was afraid it might attack his calves.
