Not exactly the evening he expected

A man brought a woman to a U.S. 2 West hotel room from a bar, but she was apparently more than he could handle. He told the front desk to call the Kalispell Police Department because she was “trashing the place.” Police arrived to find the woman had left, but no major damage was done to the room.

Dispatch received a call about a man who stole a car to go to an anger management class.

The Kalispell Fire Department assisted police in a report of a gasoline spill on Fifth Avenue West. Rain reportedly washed some gas and oil down the whole block.

A caller told police that a man walked into a Two Mile Drive home and put a gun to the caller’s head. The gunman reportedly demanded that the caller drink bleach, and the caller said he complied. Police were unable to find the suspected gunman and sent the caller to the hospital.

Bottles of wine were reportedly stolen out of the back of a delivery truck on North Main Street.

Employees at a North Main Street bank had to call the police because a customer was getting “belligerent.”


A caller dutifully called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to let them know that somebody in his Willow Glen Drive home made a false 911 call. Dispatch did not have a record of the supposed false call.

The manager at a Montana 35 business called to report the theft of two beers — nearly two weeks after it occurred. 

County animal control responded to a report of two horses running loose on Whitefish Stage, only to be re-routed to a report of eight cows on the loose at Gray Hawk Court.

A man walked into the sheriff’s office with an “inappropriate text” message and wanted to show a deputy. A deputy responded and looked.

A woman walked into an Antelope Trail home, but the resident didn’t know who the person was. According to the report, the woman was on the phone and seemed like she had been drinking.

While out delivering newspapers, a woman told police that a vehicle almost hit her before smashing into a Helena Flats Road mailbox. The vehicle’s license plate reportedly fell off at that point, and deputies determined the vehicle to be stolen.


An apparent scattering of refuse prompted one resident to call the Columbia Falls Police Department. The caller wanted to know what was “going to happen with all the garbage” on Eighth Avenue East North.

An officer stopped to help a driver who ran out of gas and was walking down Ninth Street West.

There was a burglary on Fifth Avenue East North, according to a caller. As it turned out, a couple of neighborhood kids who ran out of the residence didn’t steal anything.

Police investigated an apparent hit-and-run on Sixth Street West, in which one vehicle smashed into two other cars.

A suspected drunken driver took a while to pull over before coming to a stop on North Hilltop Road. The driver was arrested and taken to jail.


The Whitefish Police Department helped a Baker Avenue man locate a suspected perpetrator of hit-and-run. Upon inspection, the officer determined that the suspect did not cause damage to the man’s car. 


The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest for disorderly conduct at the Arlee Schools.


The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle that went off of a wet highway. The crash was on Montana 40 and near the U.S. 2 intersection.
